Employee assistance program (EAP) administrators are often the first line of professional intervention when receiving a referral from an organization or academic setting. While there may be a range of reasons an employee was referred to an EAP provider, concerns may arise about the potential for aggression and violence in the workplace. In addition to a concern for violence potential, the employer may also want to know if the employee is capable of completing his or her essential job requirements (i.e., fitness for duty). In these cases, we can conduct both a direct violence risk potential evaluation and fitness for duty evaluation.
